Holidays at home and sunny danish days <3

Hejj guys,

We’re back in Denmark and that means: enjoying the summer as much as possible🌞🌞 But first let me tell you about my time at home and how it was to come back to Nykøbing after it :)

Right after we posted our last blog, I took the train home for the holiday. The train ride was stressful and adventurous as always, so you can’t imagine how happy I was when I finally arrived at the station in Brussels🥹 Even though I came right in time to experience the heatwave, I enjoyed everything so much🥰 With friends I went to a festival in the city, went out in bars and had food- and coffee dates to catch up, I had relaxing time and movie nights with my parents, went to a birthday party and also celebrated my dad’s birthday. To be in my hometown which I so missed just felt amazing!! After this intense and busy week at home, I took the train to Munich to visit my cousin and his girlfriend and to go to a concert from one of my favorite German artists: Nina Chuba🎉 At first I was a bit nervous, because I went alone and I’ve never been alone at a concert before. But it turned out to be soo fun, the concert was amazing and I had the best night🌟

The morning after I took the train back to Denmark and to be honest with you, it was a bit hard to come back to the apartment (Lily had another week of holiday), but when I saw all my colleagues again and the sun got out and shining, it already felt much better😌 I came right into a busy åben sommer week, where I helped Guna with the “glass og hygge” workshop and it was such a success! The atmosphere with the tables outside, kids and their families being creative and the outdoor café is incredibly cozy and the outdoor area was shining in the sun. Last week Guna and I went in workshop-mode again, then with the “træskiver” workshop. Now I’m in the outdoor café for the next few weeks, which is also very hyggeligt☺️ Besides being part of the summer program, I’m really busy with planning everything for the Open Mic on the 7th of August. There’s a lot to think about, but hopefully we’ll get there!

There were also some nice summer things happening outside of work. Every Thursday and Friday there are concerts on the city square, so one evening I went there with Guna and we had a really fun time🥳 The day after Nanna took me to her home so we could watch the world cup quarter final Belgium against Spain, which was also really nice. And I went two times to the beach, once with Kiana, a friend from climbing and then when Lily came back, we went with all the three of us. It is so fun to go swim in Marielyst, watch the sun go down and have some snacks <3 Another thing that has kept me busy is uni applications… It was such a piece of work to get everything ready, but now I’ve sent it all out, so I just have to wait for the answers :)

Last Friday Lily’s grandparents came for a visit during the weekend and it was so sweet to get to know them💕 On Saturday we went to The Burger all together and then Lily and I had to get ready for the gilde, which is a graduation party, from Emil, one of the climbing boys🤩 It was a great night and we got to see different Danish graduation traditions, which was so funny. We got back around 6 in the morning and luckily I could sleep, but Lily had to get up an hour later to go to Copenhagen with her grandparents… Then this Wednesday there was another gilde, this time from August. It took place in a barn in his garden and it had such a cool vibe. We played a lot of games, had so much fun and it became a very long night…

Since yesterday my friend Nora from home is visiting, so today I showed her Kulturfabrikken and tomorrow we will go to Copenhagen☺️ I’m so happy that she’s here and you will hear everything about the rest of her stay in the next blog! And the next one is actually the last one, which is so crazy to think about… Our time here is really coming to an end, but before we go, there are some great things planned and I am really looking forward to enjoying everything as much as possible!!

Vi ses for a last time… And enjoy the danish summer everyone!❤️🤍
