Cozy time at home and a fresh start into the new year

Hej everyone,

Godt nytår🎇💫!! I hope you all had a great start into the new year and a rigtig hyggeligt Christmas time🤗 Let me take you with me to my two weeks in Brussels, my hometown where I spend the best time with my family and friends!

After the last hyggeligt julefrokost with all the colleagues at work, Lily and I had to begin packing for a long trip back to our homes. The next morning we woke up at four in the morning and the adventure began. As soon as we were awake, we saw that our train from Ringsted to Hamburg was cancelled, so we automatically missed all our connections. We had to take a train later, which was so packed that we had to sit on the floor and which was also delayed. In the next train Lily and I said goodbye and then finally with four hours of delay I arrived in Brussels. To see my parents again after that feverdream of a trip felt incredibly good and for the first time I experienced the really warm feeling of coming home after a long, long time🥰The next two weeks were filled with seeing friends, celebrating Christmas with my parents, visiting family, partying into the new year, enjoying the city and good food❤️❤️❤️

With all those nice things the time flew by so quickly and on the fourth of January I stepped into the train again and waved goodbye to my parents. Lily and I met again on the train to Hamburg and we catched up about everything that had happened which was so fun☺️ Going back to Nykøbing brought some mixed feelings with it. On one side it was easier than in September, because I knew what I had to expect and that incredibly nice people and a lot of fun was waiting for us, but on the other side it was also harder, because I just had such a great time being home again.

But after starting work again, it really felt good to be back with all the colleagues and Lily and I were fully back in our rhythm. In those first two weeks back in Denmark we enjoyed the winter wonderland with all the snow and we had our first cafeshifts, workshops and meetings again. Last Wednesday we had the unique opportunity to volunteer at a handball game, so we helped before and after the game and could watch it and have food for free. It was such a great experience, because I really like to watch sports in general and the atmosphere in the hall was just amazing😁 We also went climbing again with our friends, in Nykøbing, Copenhagen and Vordingborg. Furthermore, there was a very cute family concert last Saturday with a nice combination of music and dance. And Lily and I passed the test for module 2, so now we’re in module 3🥳🥳!!! We can’t believe that it is going so fast :))

I feel like I write this in every blog, but I really mean it: I’m looking forward to everything that is coming😍!! 2026 is gonna be a crazy year and I’m ready for it🤩Wishing you a nice weekend, take care and vi ses,

Hanna
